This TV Commercial was created to market the Value Inn in conjunction
with
Melaleuca on Mitchell. They now use share reception and Value Inn guests
can
access the wonderful facilities at Melaleuca onMithcell.
Seafood on Cullen has always been a popular place to dine ans enjoy the
sunset.
It was completely refurbished under new management, with a revised menu and
staff.
At first business was a little slow and it was hard to get established as the
site had
been closed for some time. This simple TV campaign was all that was needed
to
kick start the venue. It has continued to grow going from strength to
Strength.
This TV Commercial launched Darwin's newest best biggest backpacker
accommodation.
The TVC was not run much in the Darwin market. Instead it was run in other
markets so
Backpackers knew the best place to stay when they arrived. It really helped to
establish
Melaleuca on Mitchell as the premier place for Backpackers in Darwin. The Voice
over is
deliberately young male and female with a slight European sound. This was
designed to
appeal to the target market. Also the TVC features actual young backpackers
staying at
Melaleuca on Mitchell.
Nothing is more iconic than the original Jumping Crocodile Cruise. Tony
Blums
launched a newer better Adelaide River Queen. The TVC features the stars of
the
show the (the Jumping Crocs) and a cameo of Mr Blums himself. It was a very
exciting
commercial to shoot with crocs jumping up everywhere.
Garuda is the national carrier of Indonesia . This TV Commercial was
produced for the
Australian market to show young Ozzies having fun in Bali. A staff group from
Tim's Surf N Turf
a well know Darwin restaurant travelled to Bali to a star in the commercial and
a promotional Video.
At the time Garuda had direct flights from Darwin to Bali. They would show the
promo video at
the Mindil beach Markets on Thursday night. Many Backpackers would se the
video and be on the
6am flight Friday morning.
This TVC established the restuarant in the newly completed Mitchell
Centre.
The owner opened the business and immediately put in on the market for
sale.
The TVC helped realize a profitable sale.
This was part of a KRTA marketing program fro the region. These are a couple
of the
TVCs produced for Mataranka. KRTA has since been incorporated in Tourism Top
End.
Just before these videos were shot Mataranka had experienced a very bad bat
problem.
The word had got around and visitor numbers sharply declined. Once the problem
was
rectified it was important to let everyone know.
When the Arafura Pearl started services to the Tiwi Islands they carried
locals and paying
tourists. This video was produced as a short introduction to visitors to
enhance the experience.
Most visitors were on Day trips not staying overnight on the Islands. The video
needed to give
interesting background context to Tiwi life without spoiling the adventure of
discovery.
The Spirit of Darwin was one of the first harbour cruises available to the
Darwin market.
This video was a good marketing tool to wet the appetite of would be
adventurers both
local and tourist from afar. The amazing sunset and tranquil waters sell
themselves.
Sitzler is one of the largest construction companies in Northern and Central
Australia.
Originally formed in Alice Springs they built the Yulara Resort (one of the
icon resorts in the World).
This video is a part of over 30 minutes worth of corporate video profiles
produced for Sitzler.
Location filming included Alice Springs, Adelaide, Katherine, Yulara (Ayres
Rock), and Darwin.
The Darwin Convention Centre was filmed in stages to show it coming into
being.
